International Students Can Now Apply for Degree Programmes for the 2019/2020 Academic Year at HSE University

International students are now invited to apply for studies at HSE University. Here, we will talk about what Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are available at HSE and describe the admissions procedure.

National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University) is one of the best Russian universities, as well as one of the premier research centers in Eastern Europe in such fields as Economics, Management, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Social Sciences and Linguistics. Since 2013, HSE has been a direct participant in the government-sponsored Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100.

Bachelor’s programmes

A total of 80 Bachelor’s programmesare open for admission for the 2019/2020 academic year at HSE’s campuses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm, including 9 English-taught double degree programmeswith the University of London (UK) and Kyung Hee University (South Korea), as well as a number of programmes in such newly opened fields at HSE as ‘Chemistry’,‘Cell and Molecular Biotechnologies’,‘Urban Planning’,Russian Studies’,etc.

Master’s programmes

A total of 166 Master’s programmesare offered at HSE, including several double degree programmes, 31 English-taught programmes, as well as new programmes, which are enrolling students for the first time, including: ‘Transport Planning’‘Russian Studies’‘Digital Humanities’, a programme implemented jointly with the ‘Russia Today’ News agency - ’International News Production’,etc.

 

 

How to apply?

In order to apply, candidates are free to select up to two degreeprogrammes and register through aninternational student personal account. All details relating to personal account registration, the selection of degree programmes, application submissions and deadlines, the enrolment process and a list of necessary documents for admission to Bachelor’s programmes are provided here

Candidates may apply both to state-funded places (with Russian Government scholarships provided) and fee-paying places, which are also open to HSE scholarships, covering up to 70% of tuition fees for Bachelor’s programmes, as well as up to 50% on Master’s programmes for the entire period of study.
